Back to nature
As part of the ending of the ceramic workshop I participated in, we returned to nature the art pieces that didn't go to the kiln making an installation in the park with them. Bringing them back to nature completed their cycle. Their journey may have started with other destinations but finally, like life things can be unpredictable asking us to find other ways to continue the flow. We found where our art pieces belong in nature knowing that they will melt and become again earth. In the end, we realized that our installation looks like a little civilization. A civilization with temples, mountains, and magical creatures. The park we made the installation is Akadimia Platonos in Athens, where Platonas built the first university. Ancient fragments from Platonos Academy exist in many places in the park. We realized that the way we installed our small civilization had something in common with the ancient fragments of the park, this enhanced our thinking about making something permanent in time or returning it back to nature.
